Incredible 1970s Automotive Time Capsule Found. You probably know that I have recently had a huge reorganisation of my Craft Room. Along the way I found lots of old photos. I have already added many of them to scrapbooks. However, some have never made it. Today I am using one from the 1970s. It is a picture of me, taken at the end of a Car Rally/Treasure Hunt.

I know it is from the 1970s because I only had the car for about three years. I was given it by my parents so I could drive to college. I remember that the event was after I started working, so possibly 1979, or at a pinch 1980. You have to love the, almost, ‘mullet’ hair!

Having decided that I would use this photo, I needed some paper that wasn’t too ‘new’. I felt anything to ‘fresh’ would overpower the colours in the photo. As soon as I saw this Summer Vibes Collection from Simple Stories, I knew it would work. I especially love the background paper I used. It made it easy to decide where to place the photo.

The only journaling block that was the right size had a pair of flip flops on, which would not work. A few bits of fussy cutting and stickers later and who would know about the flip flops?

I hope you enjoy this layout. If you’re interested, you can see how I brought it all together. Just watch the Video by clicking below. I hope you have enjoyed these videos for International Scrapbooking Weekend. I will be back with some more creativity soon I am sure.

I love what you did with the photo and the paper to make that page! It’s a great photo!
