Impressions Abloom for Stampin’ Through the Catalogue. A quick post from me today. Back when I was working Stampin’ Up! as a Business, I would enter the Stampin’ Through the Catalogue challenges pretty much all the time. Now that I am simply enjoying being part of the amazing Stampin’ Up! community, I don’t have as much current product. Over the weekend I spotted that they are featuring Impressions Abloom, which I have!

Time for a quick card, using some of the products from this Online Exclusive Suite. I decided to use one of the papers for the framed piece and the flowers.

I added some Shy Shamrock stalks and foliage. The foliage is actually vellum coloured with Stampin’ Blends. This adds a lighter touch and can help from making the project too overwhelming. The frame and card base are both Azure Afternoon, with the frame having 3 layers.

I hope you can see that both the flowers and the flower centres are cut from the paper, not card. This adds extra depth from the patterns.

I wanted to add a sentiment, but didn’t want that to take over the project. In these situations I often opt for heat embossing on vellum. I used a sentiment from Impressions Abloom. I took care not to overheat the image and then fussy cut around it with small scissors. Adding vellum to a project can be tricky. You don’t want the adhesive to show. But, a couple of dots of ‘green glue’ worked well.
Thank you for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed your time here

Hi Liz!
I just love this card and how you created it. I was on the fence about this bundle, but you just convinced me to get it.
Thanks for sharing your creativity.

Hi Barbara, I’m happy to hear you like the card. I’m still finding my way back to doing videos, so it is possible that I will still do the odd card here and there at some point. Lxx
