Make a 6 x 8 Mini Album with me – Part 4 – The Stampin’ Up! version

Make a 6 x 8 Mini Album with me – Part 4 – The Stampin’ Up! version. I promised to let you see the finished Cherry Cobbler Mini Album, which uses product from the New Mini Catalogue, which goes LIVE on 4th September. Well today is the day to take a flip through.

I used the cute Wintery Tree Tops Suite to decorate the final album, I love the papers and the stamp set, so had lots of fun finishing it off.

The paper I used for the front page is probably one of my favourites. I have always like this style of paper from Stampin’ Up! It is so easy to make really quick cards simply by cutting the sheet into 6 pieces the size of your card layer.

Because I only had one pack of the papers, I knew I was going to have to use some of the stamped images, rather than fussy or die cutting from the paper. This was a bit of a challenge because the red on this bird is not an exact match for any of the Stampin’ Blends. I did manage to work out a combination of colours to get a pretty god match. Find out what that combination is in the video.

This pair of birds were a much easier image to colour. Using Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler and Copper Clay, with a little Smoky Slate, gave me the perfect colours.

I used the pair of birds a few times, they are so pretty and, although you can colour them to make a Cardinal, you don’t have to, so it is perfect for all time zones, as is the other stamped image.

Like the other albums, I had top pockets and tuck pockets. And can I just mention the really pretty black and white bird on this paper. It reminds me of a Long Tailed Tit, which isn’t actually a member of the Tit Family. I use to see them occasionally as a child, but can’t remember when I saw one last.

I included a few pages with bands across for more tucking, and of course I included the side pocket pages. I decided not to add patterned paper behind the Basic White on any of the pages because I only had the one pack, and would have needed more.
