#SimpleStamping Saturday featuring the Leaf Collection from Stampin’ Up! The Leaf Collection Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! brings the beauty of nature to your paper crafting projects. Simple: Clean and Minimal
My first project uses one ink pad. a Basic White Note Card and Envelope and a scrap of Basic White. All I did was ink up the Leaf Collection Stamp with Summer Splash ink and stamp it on the front of the Note Card. To make sure the back of the Note Card remains unstamped, simply mask it off with some post it notes.
I stamped the the envelope flap too, using the same masking method. I think decorating the outside of the envelope is a great way of giving the recipient a sneak peek of the card inside.
I stamped the ‘Thanks’ sentiment from Simply Said on a scrap of Basic White, trimmed it and added it with a couple of Dimensionals. My card is complete.
Stepped Up: Layered Elegance
My second card was very much inspired by Hubsch Handgemacht by Mona on Instagram, which was shared earlier in the week on the Stampin’ Through the Catalogue Insta Story.
I repeated the stamping in Summer Splash, but on a piece of Basic White card, which I then distressed slightly at the edges before layering it onto another piece of Basic White. These pieces were then added onto a Thick Basic White card base.
The sentiment is the same stamp, but this time I used the Keeping Tabs punch (also available as a die). I used a retired punch for the Crumb Cake foliage, adding them both above and below Dimensionals. The ribbon is the new InColor ribbon, but cut in half. The final touches are a linen thread bow and some InColor Shimmer Gems.
3. Avid: Mixed Media Masterpiece
By making my final version I could have made five cards, and when I have time I probably will! I stamped the Leaf Collection in all of the new InColors and them fussy cut the leaves, before recreating the pattern with them, popped up on Dimensionals.
Now remember I LOVE to fussy cut, so for me this was nothing major, it was actually quite relaxing. Am I the only person who enjoys fussy cutting? I hope not!
I repeated the embellishment around the sentiment, but this time I added in the threads I had pulled from the middle of the ribbon with the linen thread.
