#SimpleStamping Saturday Featuring Country Birdhouse from Stampin’ Up! Today is a little different from the usual #SimpleStamping Saturday. Why? Because I am also taking part in an Instagram Hop today with the theme of Designer Series Paper, so I am combining the two things into one. To see the full hop, just go to my Instagram Page HERE

Using a Basic White Notecard and Envelope, I stamped the Birdhouse image in Memento Ink and then added the bird and flowers. I coloured the images with Watercolour Pencils before blending them using a Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter.

The Birdhouse is deliberately textured to try to reflect the look of the wood paper I am using on the next project.

For this version I stamped the Birdhouse on one of the Country Wood Papers and then die-cut it, adding additional layers for the roof and a stand. All from the same piece of paper, just using the two patterns.

I added the bird looking out of the house and some flowers either side to lift it a bit. The background is from the Thoughtful Journey papers, which are perfect for this type of project.

So its confession time. This is the first project I made for today. The 3D version was such fun to make, although I’m not sure I could replicate it if asked! I added some Early Espresso card to the mix for this project so there was a more substantial base for everything.

I found a bamboo kebab stick in the kitchen, so cut that to size and added some paper to the area that would be on the outside of the box. The other end is attached to the inside of the house with a Min Glue Dot.

I know I shouldn’t say this, but I am pretty chuffed with how this worked out, especially as it actually stands up on its own!

I love the job you have done with this stamp set! Thank you for showing us 3 versions from simple to 3-D. Do you have instructions for making the 3-D version?
Thank you for sharing!
Hi Judy, thank you I’m so pleased you like the cards. I don’t have instructions for the 3D version, as I made it up as I went along, but I might give that a go soon. Lxx
That would be wonderful and I would love to get them if you do!
