#SimpleStamping Saturday featuring Cutest Cows from Stampin’ Up! This stamp set is SOOOO CUTE! It was never going to be long before I used this for #SimpleStamping Saturday, so here we go.
The first of today’s cards uses so few products it is perfect for a new stamper, especially as the stamp set has so many stamps to choose from. There are THREE Bodies and THREE Heads to choose from, as well as a little family of chickens. Of course you could just use the sunflowers if you don’t want any animals on a particular card.
Just the Cutest Cows Stamp Set, a pack of Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes, a Tuxedo Black ink pad and a pack of Watercolor Pencils and you could make this card. Add the Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter if you want the smooth finish I got for my card.
Even without the Color Lifter, ordering just the 4 basic products before the end of February would mean you qualify for a Sale-a-Bration item. But I digress. I used Pecan Pie, Early Espresso and Flirty Flamingo for the cow and Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight for the flower.
first stepped up version
For my first stepped up version I added quite a lot of additional products. SORRY! But the card is a simple fold-back card with die-cut circles for the main feature. It would be easy to substitute Circle Punches or just one set of circle dies.
I added Thick Basic White and Pecan Pie Card as well as some additional ink pads, Designer Paper and an embellishment. Instead of the Watercolor Pencils I switched to Stampin’ Blends, but you could just as easily sick with the Pencils. A strip of Designer Paper seemed the perfect addition to emphasise the fold-back.
further stepped up version
This card is very similar to the previous version; they are both fold-back cards. But this version has a partial die cut in the card base for the featured image to sit on.
I added Designer Paper to both the fold-back and the right hand half of the inside of the card. to be honest, this was mostly so you could see that they were not the same card!
Without the additional paper there really is very little difference between the two versions, so if you are hesitant about partial die-cutting, you know what to do!
Oh! I should mention that there is a punch that goes with this Stamp Set and is available with the Stamp Set at a 10% saving if you use the Bundle Code.
