Craft & Chat Live REPLAY – Merriest Trees Bundle Stampin’ Up! Did you catch my YouTube Live today? Today we had great fun using the Merriest Trees Bundle and some of the new Online Exclusive Glimmer Paper AND the Giveback Walk in the Forest Paper.
Our first card used lots of die cuts to build a simple, but beautifully shaped, Christmas Tree with Glimmer Paper swags and star. For the little ornaments, I stamped, heat embossed and die cut them, which was really quick to do because the stamp has all three on it and there are three dies to die-cut each cluster of three.
I didn’t like the positioning of the tree (after I had added it, obviously, after all, it is me we are talking about!), so I added the tree skirt in more of the glimmer paper. I was pleased to see that the embossing from the die worked even on the Glimmer Paper.
Next up was a cute tag fronted card. Again this is really quick and easy to make, and I especially liked adding all the ribbons to the tag.
The tag die is included in the set and is a really useful size. Using all the short pieces of ribbon is a great way to use up all those awkward pieces you get at the end of the rolls, or is that only me?
My really quick, final card used a die-cut tree, stamped and heat embossed in white, added to a piece of the paper, layered on a Garden Green mat. I added the ribbon to ‘ground’ the tree and little.
I especially like the bear peeking round the side of the tree, it makes it all so much cuter!
