Craft & Chat Live REPLAY with Liz – Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies. Do you love a ‘cut apart sheet’ as much as I do. If you do, then the Fresh as a Daisy Paper is for you. Today I shared 3 card ideas using some of the elements from this sheet. I made three cards in an hour, including all the general chat that I get involved with during these Lives.
First up is this card that used Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat and Lemon Lolly inks on some Watercolour Paper (Fluid 100) for a very loose wash. The paper is layered on Distressed Gold Paper (carried over to the new Catalogue) .
I added some Wild Wheat Ribbon and Glossy Dots (which are stunning!) The sentiment is from the same Cheerful Daisies stamp set, stamped on Basic White with Wild Wheat ink. Quick and easy, the only time consuming part is letting the watercolr dry, but I simply started another card.
Azure Afternoon and Copper Clay are a match made in heaven. This card only uses these two colours, along with Basic White.
I wanted to use the label die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies, but I also wanted to use this sentiment, which is too small for the label. No problem, I just resized the label. See how in today’s video, see link below. The ribbon is from the Sheer Ribbon Trio Pack.
Other than picking Pecan Pie instead of Copper Clay, which is the card I thought I had, this is such a quick card to mak.e. In fact even using the wrong colour is not an issue because it still works.
I chose to cut a square card base for this card. I really did not want to cut the element down. I layered the patterned paper onto Crushed Curry (which is one of the colours in the papers). The same sentiment, but this time in Garden Green was an easy choice. I love how quickly this card came together.
