Craft & Chat Live REPLAY with Liz – Stampin’ Up! Watercolor World. OK, let’s just clear something up before I get started. My intention had been to use Watercolor World by Stampin’ Up! during my YouTube Live today, and I did, but let’s just say we also got a little side-tracked.
Just before I went Live I heard the fantastic news that one of my Stampin’ Up Friends has just earned the Incentive Trip to Mexico next year. I have to make it clear that less than 1% of Demonstrators earn the trip and that it is a lot of hard work and dedication, it is certainly NOT typical of a Demonstrator (and when I say I have to make it clear, I mean I am required to!) I thought I would make her a card using the Alphabet A La Mode dies spelling out Mexico and add that to the map of the world.
The lovely people who joined me Live suggested that I just use the letters and the Taco Fiesta Stamp Set, so I did that instead! Because the person loves all things ‘Rainbow’, I coloured the letters in Rainbow colours and added the same colours as layers behind the main piece. The peppers were just for fun!
I did get back on track and stamped my Watercolor World in Rainbow Colours using the, now discontinued, Stamparatus and Sponge Daubers to add the colour. Mounted on a Basic Black Mat and then on a Basic White card base, this makes a fun card for so many occasions.
I didn’t let the original stamped image go to waste, but added it to a Basic Gray Card Base with a Sweet Sorbet layer and sentiment, from the retiring Happy Labels stamp set (this is reduced to just £9.20, from £23!!)
The sentiment seemed perfect for a card with an image of the world! Oh, and before I go, please accept my apologies for the stupidly long list of products!
