Craft & Chat with Liz Live Replay – Nested Friends. Why, just WHY!! Why didn’t I get this bundle out sooner. It is stunning, I just hope it is carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue so I can have more time to play with it.
My first card on my YouTube Live yesterday was inspired by a card on Pinterest that was shared by Narelle Farrugia (click HERE to see it). Looking back at the card now, mine is actually quite different, but I can still see where I got the inspiration, and I like to give credit where I can.
I used papers from the Abigail Rose Suite in the Annual Catalogue (that will be the catalogue we tend to forget about!) and distressed the edges of the ledger paper with the edge of my snips and then added some Crumb Cake Ink with a Blending Brush.
My second card was much ‘cleaner’ and featured the die cut nest front and centre. Although as soon as I added it I realised I needed to add the branch too. Fortunately I could slide it in under the nest. Phew! I added speckles to the background, using Pool Party Ink, and to the Pool Party eggs using Crumb Cake ink.
A few die cut leaves, some ribbon and a simple sentiment and I was done. two very different cards from one Bundle and SO many ideas floating round my head for more cards. I’m even tempted to use it for this week’s #SimpleStamping Saturday. We will see.
