#SimpleStamping Saturday – Sweet Gingerbread. I have had such fun designing these really cute cards. I seriously don’t think you can go wrong with a Gingerbread House, I have even found a scented Candle called Gingerbread House to burn in my studio. One slight problem is that I am now craving Gingerbread!
#SimpleStamping Version
I accept that I have used more colours on this card than I would usual for #SimpleStamping Saturday, but I am not assumed and on today’s video give a few options for alternative colours.
There is nothing about this card that I don’t love. It is perfect for all recipients, whether they are Christians, for whom we are approaching a very special time of year. For those who don’t celebrate Christmas as a religious occasion, this card works as there is nothing in it that is religious. But, I do have one concern.
I changed my mind about the colours I would use. I started by making the card on the left, but when I came to stepping up my cards, I decided to change my colours I replaced the Petal Pink hearts, the sentiment and the colour of the front door to Sweet Sorbet, but was it the right thing to do? What do you think?? Do let me know in the comments below.
Stepped Up Version
My first stepped up version adds lots of Crumb Cake Card, but is pretty similar to the original. I used the matching Gingerbread House Dies to make this card, they include some perfect additions to the house.
If you like lollies (that’s what they are called in the UK, does that travel?), then you will also find dies for those and a few other items in the die set.
Further Stepped Up Version
I have to admit that this is definitely my favourite version of this week’s projects. I am so pleased with how it turned out with that stunning Snowflake Vellum as a window to the inside of the card.
I changed the Basic White card elements to Snowy White paper, which matches the flocking on the vellum. The white embossing is just perfect for this version of the card too.
