Easy Cards to make at Home Crafting LIVE REPLAY with Liz Featuring those Hippest Hippos again. I am clearly a little addicted to these Hippos (can you be a ‘little’ addicted?) I pulled them out again for yesterday’s YouTube Live for two more cards.

The design for this card came to me late on Wednesday night. As often happens, when I was about to fall asleep I thought about acrobats who use umbrellas for balance, and the idea was born.
I started by punching a cloud from Masking Sheet and using that to mask off areas of the Basic White layer and adding some Balmy Blue ink with a Blending Brush, building up layers of clouds, turning the cloud a little each time I moved it.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to make the Baker’s Twine hold the dip needed for the Hippo, then it struck me, just run it under the Mini Dimensional behind the Hippo’s foot.
Next up is a card for any budding ballet dancer. This time, rather than using Blends (which I used for the previous card), I stamped the image on Shimmer White card and used a Blender Pen to add colour from the Gray Granite and Blushing Bride Ink Pads.
Before adding the image and punched pieces to the Basic White layer, I added some Blushing Bride ink towards the top of the layer using a Blending Brush.
Gray Granite and Blushing Bride Decorative Circle Punched pieces layered up are the perfect base for the die cut Hippo. I finished the card with some ribbon and some Solid Faceted Gems.
