Crafting LIVE REPLAY with Liz – Featuring Elephant Parade. Today is another of my catch up posts looking at projects I made during my May Marathon of YouTube Live videos. This is possibly one of my favourite set of projects, certainly as far as the cuteness factor is concerned. I was actually a little surprised that this Bundle even got onto my shopping list, but WOW I love it. I am even using it for a card swap I am doing with 40 other Stampin’ Up! Demos later in the month.
The first card I made during my Live was a CASE from the new Annual Catalogue and I made it with a friend in mind. She was about to give birth to a daughter, so this seemed the perfect occasion to break out this bundle. But what may be a bit of a surprise is that I used one of the images from Speedy Recovery as well.
The florals behind the elephant are the bouquet image from Speedy Recovery, simply coloured and fussy cut to layer onto the Stylish Shapes circle. I stamped the image onto the circle too so there was lots of depth. The leaves and butterfly are both from the Elephant Parade set, as is the sentiment.
The patterned papers are from the Design a Daydream Host Paper Pack. This has 48 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. They are a wonderful addition to your crafty stash and are only available FREE with Stampin’ Rewards.
My second card was really quick to put together. Again, I used paper from the Design a Daydream pack, adding a simple strip across my card base. The little elephant is carrying a peanut and has such a cheeky smile, it really is simply cute!
On both cards I used Gray Granite Stampin Blends for the elephants, with a little Petal Pink to help lift them a little. The first card used a few more colours for the flowers and leaves; So Saffron, Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green.
Both projects were finished with the addition of the, retiring soon, Polished Dots. Perfect for a subtle addition to lift a project.
