#SimpleStamping Saturday featuring True Beauty. Welcome to my favourite day of the week, when I share three projects with you. Each project is a stepped up version of the one before, adding a few extra products and techniques along the way. So let’s get started with today’s projects, using the True Beauty Stamp Set.
#SimpleStamping Version
Did you know that I don’t always start with designing the #SimpleStamping version? Today is one of the times when I actually started by designing the most stepped up version of this card, not actually making it, but I knew what I was going to do and roughly how I was going to make it. Then I looked at how I could go from that version back to this simple Stamps, Ink and Paper version.
I really like the colours used in the Designer Series Paper for this suite of products, I especially like the use of more muted colours against the brighter ones. This is why I selected to pare down to Polished Pink and Mossy Meadow. I love the way these two colours work together and would probably not have chosen to put them together on my own.
I always start the #SimpleStamping version with a basic Note Card and Envelope, these are such a great place to start your crafting projects, especially if you are new to crafting. They are a smaller size, so are less intimidating than the ‘normal’ A6 size card.
Stepped Up Version
My first stepped up version has exactly the same stamping, but this time I have added and piece of patterned paper and a Merry Merlot layer with the stamped layer on to. I did add Dimensionals between the patterned paper and Merry Merlot layer for a bit of extra fun.
Can you see the finishing touch of the Iridescent Pearls? I LOVE these they are just add that little bit more than the Basic Pearls. Now for the next version….
Further Stepped Up Version
So this is my final version and there is no stamping at all. SHOCKING!! But what I did do is die cut all those florals from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper.
I die cut the trellis from Merry Merlot (having added Adhesive Sheet on the reverse). The trellis wasn’t going to be quite the right size for my card, so I had decided from the start that I would cut it towards the bottom and cover the join with ‘something’. Something’ became lots of die cuts pretty quickly. I added Dimensionals behind some of the die cuts, and dotted a few Iridescent Pearls around for some added texture.
