#SimpleStamping Version
Today’s projects feature the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, which are a great addition to your Craft Stash. These new masks have four patterns, plus two Positive/Negative shapes. It is one of the Negative shapes that I started with for my first project. Stamping the sentiment in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla Note Card, I then covered it with the Negative of the rectangular mask.
All I had to do was add some Cajun Craze Ink with one of our wonderful Blending Brushes. When I removed the mask it left the sentiment framed in Cajun Craze, with the sentiment untouched and ‘popping’ from the surrounding Cajun Craze. I finished the envelope by adding stamped photo corners in Cajun Craze ink.
Stepped Up Version
My first stepped up version started the same way as my #SimpleStamping Version, but as well as layering the ‘rectangle’ over the sentiment, I added the large square grid mask and added Crushed Curry ink. Once I was happy with the Crushed Curry layer, I added the ‘plaid’ mask and Cajun Craze ink.
To finish of the card I trimmed the inked layer and added it to some Cajun Craze card and then a Very Vanilla Card Base. It almost looks like the sentiment is on a punched shape. I love how simple it is to make this background.
Further Stepped Up Version
For my final version I repeated the ink blending, but without the ‘negative’ rectangular mask. This time I stamped the sentiment on a separate piece of Very Vanilla card and die cut it with one of the
