Crafting LIVE REPLAY with Liz – Featuring Texture Chic. This is another of my ‘catch up’ posts giving you the details of the projects I shared Live on my YouTube Channel last week. These cards are also the card kits I have used for my April Customer Thank You packs.
The Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper is STUNNING and really needs very little to make it sing on your projects. When I was going through the papers I spotted that one of them has a pattern that is almost exactly the same as some of the images in the Poppy Moments Dies.
For my first card I used the large poppy die cut as the main image for the card, I die cut it out of the Distressed Gold Paper, which is part of the Texture Chic Suite. It is perfect as an addition to the main patterned paper.
The paper is matted on Pool Party on a Petal Pink card base. Before I layered everything up, I die cut one of the labels from the Stylish Shapes Die set. I added a sentiment from the Charming Sentiment Stamp Set using the Heat & Stick Powder (hiding with the Adhesives in the catalogue) and Gilded Leafing (hiding on the Embellishments pages). A length of the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and you have an elegant card.
The second card uses most of the same supplies, but switches the Pool Party Ribbon for a die cut edge on the Distressed Gold Paper using a die from the Penned Flowers Dies. In the Customer Card Packs I have not die cut the edges, so those cards will have a straight edge of the Distressed Gold Paper.
The large die cut in the Pool Party card is from the same Poppy Moments dies. This time I added some literal texture to the card by embossing the Soft Succulent layer with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment is the same as on the previous card. I hope you like these cards, The paper makes it so easy to put elegant cards together.
