Crafting LIVE REPLAY with Liz Celebrating World Cocktail Day – Featuring Butterfly Kisses Paper. OK, so I am going to be really truthful about this; the Butterfly Kisses Suite simply does not do it for me. BUT, because I have offered Product Shares, I have ordered some of the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper and am now regretting not having ordered an extra pack for me.
Although I am not a great fan of the butterfly images, especially n the colours of the paper, I am LOVING the B sides of the papers. I can honestly say that I really like at least one side of every sheet, which for me means that the whole pack is going to be something I want to craft with.
As Friday was World Cocktail Day, I thought I would pair some of the less butterfly orientated with the Nothing’s Better Than stamps and Love You More Than Dies. These just seemed to be a perfect duo for the occasion, after all, the best cocktails are colourful!
As I had decided that I like the papers, after all, I wanted to make sure that I didn’t waste the few sheets I have. With this in mind, I cut two of the patterns at 2-1/4″ (5.75cm), which leaves me with enough for a classic card front layer. If you are in North America you may need to adjust this as your cards are wider than for the rest of us.
I then added a piece of Parakeet Party Card behind the paper. This is not a strict measurement, it was simply a piece I had lying around that I cut in half, one piece for each card. I coloured the drinks with Stampin’ Blends, including Light Soft Sea Foam for the base of the glasses.
The second card was much the same as the first, but I turned the Parakeet Party piece through 90° and only added one cocktail. The frist card had 3 glasses, the middle one on Dimensionals.
I am loving the InColor Glimmer, which are Ombre, which gives you so many shades to choose from. Adding some Adhesive Sheet behind the Glimmer Paper means that when you die cut fine elements, it is REALLY easy to add them to your project. Did you spot the addition of a Polished Dot to the stem of each of the glasses?
Well, having convinced myself that I do like the Butterfly Kisses paper after all, have I convinced you too? They are such vibrant colours and are almost guaranteed to make you smile. Perfect for summer projects, and cocktails!
