Live Crafting REPLAY with Liz – Featuring NEW PRODUCTS!!! AKA The Hues of Happiness Suite. Yesterday afternoon I held one of my regular YouTube Live crafting sessions and shared products from the Hues of Happiness Suite. This is one of the fabulous suites in the new Annual Catalogue. I had a pretty full on day yesterday, so, just for a change, had only partially planned what I wanted to make. I hadn’t even opened the pack of Designer Series Paper, so this really was going to be a mystery tour. Well, what can I say….the paper is FABLULOUS and, even more fabulous, the die in the Happiness Abounds Bundle fit the paper!!! Perfect for those of you who don’t like to fussy cut.

As I started to think about the design of my first card, I took a quick look at pages 108 and 109 of the new catalogue and spotted a card sample that had taken one of the floral images and heat embossed with it on Vellum. Well what can I say, Challenge Accepted! And what a fantastic result.

I layered some die cut florals over the vellum and added the whole piece onto a Coastal Cabana Card Base. The font for the sentiments is wonderful, and I used the single word ‘friend’, stamped in Melon Mambo and fussy cut, tucking it in at the bottom of the floral cluster.

So pretty, and really not difficult if you have used heat embossing before. Just be a little careful about NOT burning the vellum. Our Vellum is better than most, but it is still more delicate than standard card, so just be a little cautious and move the heat tool more than usual.

My next project used some of the B side of the same paper I used for the first card. I layered this on Daffodil Delight and then onto a Coastal Cabana Card Base again.

Other than the largest Melon Mambo floral, which you can only see a small amount of, I die cut all of the images again. The Melon Mambo pieces was so small I just quickly fussy cut it. You will see in the video that there are two images that are incomplete, but with cleaver placement that is not a problem.

I finished both projects with the new Glossy Dots, which are holographic and AMAZING. They are also nice and flat, so won’t put the cost of postage up (certainly in the UK). I hope you love both examples and will add this suite to your Wish List, ready to order on 3rd May!
