Mischievous Mice Say Cheese! Did you know that last month’s Ordering Special is the Mischievous Mice Host Stamp Set? This is one of those sets that you can only get with Host Rewards, so unless you place an order of at least £150, you won’t be able to get it. BUT, if you placed an order of at least £45 in my Online Store last month and I will be sending you one of these sets in the next couple of weeks.
This card was so much fun to make. I stamped the cheese block and mouse once on a Basic White layer and three times more on scraps. I coloured all of three images because I knew I would be cutting holes where the holes are on the image, so all the layers might show. One of the images only needed to have the mouse head and tail coloured for the very top layer. To get a nice cheese colour I used just So Saffron and Cinnamon Cider and simply added some Petal Pink for the Cinnamon Cider mouse.
I know I enjoy fussy cutting and that some of my followers don’t enjoy it quite as much, but this really was fun, if a little fiddly (especially the holes!) A shadow of Smoky Slate and a sentiment in Tuxedo Black completed the Basic White layer.
I went for lots of layers for the finished card. Starting with a So Saffron card base, I added a layer of Early Espresso, another layer of So Saffron with the Basic White at the top. It was looking a little unfinished with just the card layers, so I wrapped some Linen Thread around all the layers and tied a knot. The perfect addition to finish this card.
