Hand Penned Scraps meet Happy & Heartfelt. I have had a really fun time recently using up some scraps of paper, especially looking at what I have from the Annual Catalogue that needs to be used up. I think we sometimes forget that there is an Annual Catalogue as well as the Mini Catalogues. The current one will be going away in just 47 days!!
Today’s card uses some of the scraps I found in my pack of Hand Penned Designer Series Paper. The largest piece I used was for the Daffodil Delight mat, which I only had to cut down a little. All the other pieces were only slightly larger than the piece on the card, in fact some are actually smaller than they look. I cut them and stretched them so they ended up covering the area I needed them to.
The sentiment is from the Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Set. This has a wonderful font and so many perfect sentiments for almost every occasion you could imagine. I stamped it on a scrap of Basic White card and then die cut it with one of the Beautiful Shapes Dies, which has built in embossing around the edge.
The final flourish was to add a few Genial Gems around the sentiment die cut. You have to love a card made from scraps!
