#SimpleStamping Saturday Featuring Here Together. Happy Saturday to you all, I hope you have had a good week. Mine has been a little manic, trying to catch up with everything I couldn’t do while I was self isolating with Covid. But it is the weekend, so let’s put the week behind us and have some fun with the Here Together stamps and Bundle.
As a change to how I usually design my #SimpleStamping Saturday projects, this week I hadn’t designed the simple version before I started the accompanying video.
I knew roughly where I was headed, but not exactly how I was going to get there. But I am pleased with the final result, and can’t tell you how much I am enjoying using the Here Together Bundle, well the whole Collection.
Stepped Up Version
For my stepped up versions I had decided to make square cards. For those of us outside North America, the card base is 10.5cm square, if you are in North America, you could make yours 4-1/4″ square.
I coloured the hands using the fabulous new Stampin’ Blends Natural Tones. There are 5 two-pack Combos in the full set going from light to deep, covering pink and yellow undertones. These will be in the new Annual Catalogue in May, but I understand that some of the colours are already low stock in North America, so if you want them, wherever you are, I would suggest getting them now. Get them before the end of Monday and your order will be very close to getting a Sale-a-bration item too!
Further Stepped Up Version
The main difference between the first stepped up version and this one, is the use of the dies. I do think that it makes an enormous difference to the finished project. Just die cutting and popping them up turns a good project into a great project.
For a little extra ‘pop’, I heat embossed the sentiment with white powder on Basic Black card. And of course, I couldn’t resist a little fussy cutting! Did you notice that in all versions I added some of my trademark nail varnish to the thumbs? The two stepped up versions are in rainbow colours. You can use any colouring medium you want for these.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s projects. Next week I will be launching my next Creativity in a Box Class using this Collection. I am so excited about it, I can hardly wait to share it with you.
