#NotSimpleStamping Saturday – Featuring Eclectic Garden. Those of you who are on my Mailing List will know that earlier this week, a building contractor decided that a really great way to start our week would be to dig up our fibre broadband cable. Happily the cable was fixed earlier than we had thought it would be, so all was well for a while. That is until the contractor thought they would have another go at digging it up. Seriously, you couldn’t make it up! So, sadly it means that Simple Stamping Saturday is not going to happen this week. Just to add to the fun of the week, I have now tested Positive for Covid too, so this really has been the week that keeps on giving. Happily I am feeling really well. I only took the test yesterday because we had planned on seeing family this evening. Oh, and on Thursday afternoon my pre Parish Council Meeting Test was Negative! Like I said, the week that keeps on giving.
Instead I am bringing you a card I have made using the Eclectic Garden Stamp Set on page 44 of the Mini Catalogue. I had such fun making this card. It is almost a stepped up one layer card, if there is such a thing.
For a tone on tone look, I used a Soft Succulent Card Base and stamped the Artichoke image across it in Soft Succulent ink. I stamped the image again on a piece of Basic White Card, in Tuxedo Black, colouring it in Soft Succulent and Blackberry Bliss Blends. I also coloured some White Vellum with Blackberry Bliss Blends before die cutting it, and some Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum, with the Encircled in Beauty dies.
Adding a sentiment from the Eclectic Garden in Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink to the circle with the Artichoke, and layering everything up, finished the card off. I will add a Basic White inner layer when I am ready to send it. My handwriting is so poor, I like to not have the pressure of the inner layer being attached to the card until I know that I have done a reasonable job!
