I am Liz Yuille, based in the middle of the UK in a small rural village, having moved here 7 years ago. My husband and I love living here and our only regret is that we didn’t move here sooner. With Valentine’s Day approaching, it is time to think about a card for him.
With that in mind, today I am sharing a Love Themed card, but rather than using one of the more obvious stamp sets, I am using the one that is about as far into the Mini Catalogue as you can get. For the Record. I think this is going to be missed by many customers, but it is a really fun set. It is such fun that I can even forgive the mis-spelled ‘Favorite’!!
I decided to colour the long stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers to make a rainbow, although many of the colours are covered up, I think it still registers as a rainbow. I used the Brights Colour family of Markers, so you would only need one set. The record is heat embossed in Black Embossing Powder and then die cut with a Layering Circle die, before adding to the card with Dimensionals..
Some Light Bermuda Bay and Poppy Parade Blends finish the centre of the record, with a Clear Epoxy Essential over the very centre. Add a White on Black heat embossed sentiment (even with the mis-spelling!) finishes the front of the card off. Layered on a Basic Black mat and a Poppy Parade card base and the card is done.
