Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Featuring Every Chapter. Welcome to my entry for Kylie Bertucci’s Blog Highlights. This is where you can help me to secure a place on the Winner’s Blog Hop later in February!
For a while now I have been meaning to try to stamp the Every Chapter Stamp without including the words. I have finally managed to do it and am so happy with the results. Don’t get me wrong, I love the stamp in its full glory, but I just want to be able to use it without the words too.
Why it took me so long to work out that the easy way to do this was to use our single Black Stampin’ Write Marker pen I do not know, but it did. However, having finally got the penny to drop, the result is stunning (I know, I shouldn’t say that!)
I have used Cherry Cobbler, Misty Moonlight, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent Stampin Blends to colour the books, with Light Black and So Saffron for the glasses and cup. The pages of the books are coloured with some of the new Natural Tone Blends, available for customers TOMORROW!
The card base and first coloured layer are both in Cherry Cobbler card, with Basic Gray between them, but the real highlight fo me is the gold heat embossing. I found an old Versamark Ink Pen when I was clearing out a cupboard in the summer, so used that to add ink to small areas of the books. You could do this with an old Blending Pen and Versamark Re-inker too. I added some Gold Embossing powder and then watched the magic.
I hope you enjoyed this project and will consider voting for me by clicking the button above. You get 5 votes in total, so can vote for 4 other projects while you are there. My project is number 12!
