YouTube Live Crafting REPLAY with Liz – Featuring Daffodil Daydream Bundle. It was Sneak Peek time on my YouTube Live yesterday. On a dull grey day, I chose to look at the Daffodil Daydream Bundle to bring some sunshine to the day. I should add at the start that I used a LOT of new products from the next Mini Catalogue, available from 4th January 2022. Only the card and ribbon are current products.

I had done a lot of the die cutting before I went Live, which was just as well as it took quite a while to get all the pieces cut. BUT, it was so worth the effort and made putting the card together quite simple. All it really took was some gluing and positioning.

I had chosen to use the Slim Line format for my card, also bringing in the Sale-a-Bration Daffodil Afternoon Paper. This is on a Very Vanilla base, which is good to see for a change. It did, however, mean that none of the NEW Slim Line Envelopes were in a colour that was in the paper. I opted for the White envelope on the basis that White Envelopes are always an OK choice.

My Daffodils were cut from Daffodil Delight (surprise!), Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz. These are all colours from the Paper, so I know they will sit happily next to each other. The die cut word, from Amazing Thanks Dies, also used colours from the paper, this time Evening Evergreen and Mint Macaron. I am not sure these were the best choice, but they do work.

I asked my viewers to let me know if they wanted me to add the Chevron Weave Evening Evergreen ribbon as well as the word. The answer was a resounding ‘YES’. The finishing touch was to add 2 clusters of Iridescent Rhinestones, which may become my new favourite embellishment.

Other than getting my head around the different format of the card, I really enjoyed using this new size. I am delighted that we have some dies to use with the new size, as well as the envelopes, this is going to make using this format so much easier. Probably worth mentioning that this size will still be classified as a Standard Letter in the UK, assuming it is not to ‘fat’.
