#SimpleStamping Saturday Featuring Great Tidings. Well, better late than never I say! Here is today’s #SimpleStamping Saturday trio of projects. Today I am featuring the Great Tidings Stamp Set and Bundle.
#SimpleStamping Project
Today I am starting with a Basic White Note Card and Envelope. I have stamped each of the Wise Men across the long edge of the card, starting with Gray Granite, then Crumb Cake and finally, Soft Suede. Of course I had to add the start too, which I added with Gray Granite.
I used Gray Granite for the front of the envelope too, stamping the collection of ‘gifts’ in the bottom right hand corner. To add a little extra to these cards, I added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to each of the Wise Men and the ‘Gifts’

Stepped Up Version
For my first stepped up version I decided I wanted each of the Wise Men heat embossed in a different metallic. To make sure that there was no mixing of powders, I stamped and heat embossed each Wise Man, and the star, individually.
To make the Wise Men stand out from the background, I added masks over each of them before adding Night of Navy ink with a Blending Brush.
The final addition was to add some Basic Rhinestones across the night sky. Such an easy way of adding the stars that we have read about in the Bible.
Further Stepped Up Version
My final version changes the aspect of the card, using a portrait base, rather than the landscape I had been using. I wanted to add lots of colour and some gold foil for this final version, so I stamped the Wise Men in Basic Gray, before colouring with Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends.
The wonderful frame die seemed to lend itself to having Gold Foil inlaid into it. This does take a little time, but I love the finished result. I added Tear & Tape to the back of the frame, covering the holes, and simply added the Gold Foil pieces with the tacky end of my Take Your Pick.
The hill in the back ground is hand cut from Basic Black using the curve from the base of the Black Glitter Paper Bethlehem as a guide. I am really pleased with the results of all the versions. Which is your favourite?
