I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday, as you read this I will be standing in the pouring rain in a muddy field at a 1980s Music Festival. I originally bought the ticket in November 2019 when the event was due to take place in May 2020. Needless to say, that date was moved (a couple of times actually), so here we are in October 2021 with a severe weather warning for heavy rain. I will not be put off. There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!! But I digress!!
Today I am bringing you a pair of Gift Boxes, one using Whimsy & Wonder Paper and one using Blackberry Beauty Paper. Sadly the Whimsy & Wonder Paper is currently is not available, but we are hoping it will be back in stock very soon. Of course, you can use any paper you want, including any of the Sale-a-Bration papers you may have stashed away.
The box measures 3 x 3 x 1″ and is cut from one piece of card. I have included the measurements and scoring further down this post, and there is a step by step video showing you how to make it too, so I am sure you will be able to replicate this without any problems.
The box has a wonderfully large bow, for its size, but actually uses very little ribbon, so this is great for mass production without eating into your supplies too much.
I really like the Whimsy & Wonder box, but I think I am more drawn to the Blackberry Beauty version. The papers are just so elegant and with just a hint of gold foiling, you can add some of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon without it overpowering the box.
I really hope you will have a go at making this box, it really is no more complicated that making an envelope, honestly. I will be with you on the video, so you will not get lost!
