YouTube Live Crafting REPLAY with Liz – Delicate Dahlias. Today I am sharing the details of a card I made last week during my YouTube Live. This was a Thank You card using the Delicate Dahlias Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set, so I thought I would share it for Kylie Bertucci’s Project Highlights too. This is the event she runs each month on her blog and you get to VOTE for you favourite Projects. I thought I would start with the Voting Button this month. and let you know that my project is number 22.
As you will have gathered, I used the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set using Polished Pink for the flower and Soft Succulent for the leaf. If you have followed me for even a short amount of time, you will know that I love a bit of fussy cutting, so that is what I have done with each of the 3 layers of this image.
In the Live Video Tutorial you will see how I select what I will cut away for the 2 smaller layers, so if you have ever wondered, just hop to the video.
In the image above you can probably see the layers a little better. The fussy cutting was not difficult, it is just a little time consuming, but I love to do this when I am watching TV.
I used Soft Succulent for the mat and ribbon, as well as for the sentiment, which I……….fussy cut, of course! The Basic White layer has been run through the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, simply to break up the white. You can just see that I used the smaller flower to make the inside a little prettier.
The final addition was to sprinkle some of my favourite embellishments, In-Color Jewels, around the flower and the sentiment. Two areas of three gems makes my brain happy, but six would not make my brain happy. I know, my brain is very odd!!
