One Stamp at a Time – Step It Up Blog Hop. If you have joined me on your way around this Blog Hop, welcome, I am sure you enjoyed Kelly’s project. You are now in the UK with me, Liz Yuille. I have been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for just over 5 years and recently earned my first Incentive Trip, which has been a goal for 3 years now, so I am very excited! But enough about that. Today I am brining you three projects using the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and Sale-a-Bration Peaceful Prints 12 x 12 paper. The paper is AMAZING, especially as it is FREE with a Qualifying Purchase!
All of the Design Team are brining you three projects today, stepping each of them up as we go. I am bringing you a matching set of Card, Gift Box and Tag. Looking at the card first, this uses a few simple areas of stamping, a little layering with some of the paper and a tiny amount of colouring with Stampin’ Blends (using just one colour combo).
I stamped the large deer, rabbit and lines in Crumb Cake ink, the trees in Garden Green and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler. All of these colours are in the FREE paper, so the choice was easy. You may just be able to see that I added a strip of paper to the inside of the card too, just to help tie everything together.
Next I am looking at the Gift Box. This is a pretty simple item to make, once you know how. The details and tutorial are in today’s video (see below). I matched my first box with the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Metallic Ribbon, tying it around the corners of the box for a slightly different look.
My final project is the matching Gift Tag, which adds some additional techniques and tools. First, I die cut a couple of tags from the Tailor Made Tags, one in Basic White (which I stamped with Garden Green Trees) and one from the Peaceful Prints paper. I stamped and heat embossed (using Gold Powder) and punched out the same deer and added some stamped and heat embossed antlers (using Copper Powder). To make sure the sentiment on the deer was visible, I coloured it with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker. The Black and White Gingham has been coloured with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin Blend, but you could use a Stampin’ Write Marker if you have more time for the colour to dry.
So what do you think? Do you like my little gift set? I do hope so, why not share your thoughts with me by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post. Remember there is a Video Tutorial showing you how to make the gift box below. The Blog Roll is just below that. IF you are following in order you will be crossing the Atlantic again to visit Jeanna Bohanon.
