Beauty of Tomorrow Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek. I am sharing this card as part of Bruno and Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator Training Programme Blog Hop. I love being part of this group of amazing supportive Demonstrators, it really is a joy. We learn a lot from each other and are always happy to share ideas. Although I signed up as a Demonstrator to run a business, it is the amazing friendships that are what makes it all so worthwhile. So today it seems perfect to share the sentiment on this card with everyone who has touched my life in the past (almost) 5 years; ‘Some people are just likeable – You’re one of those people’. You may have joined me from Gloria Hendrickson in the USA. Whether this is your first visit, or you are a regular visitor to my Blog, I hope you enjoy the project I am sharing with you today.
One of the other great things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that we get to order new items at least a month before customers, and at a discount. Earlier this month we were allowed to pre-order from the new Mini Catalogue AND start to earn Sale-a-Bration items, for the second Sale-a-Bration of the year. I only placed a small(ish) pre-order, and it is one of the two suites that I ordered that I am sharing with you today. Or at least a card made using a few of the items.
The Suite is called Blackberry Beauty, so it seemed right to make my card using Blackberry Bliss for the card base, with Rich Razzleberry for the mat. Because both these colours are both in the Regals family, you could just buy the Regals Card pack and get 2 sheets of each of the ten colours in the family.
I used Rich Razzleberry Ink to build the background for the card, using one of the larger stamps in the set. Just a little bit of tone-on-tone stamping can build just the right amount of texture for the background, especially as I was going to add the large die cut. The die cut is in Gold Shimmer Vellum, and fills most of the card front, making it a really quick card to put together.
I used 2 sentiments, both heat embossed in Gold, then cut the longer one before adding all 3 pieces to the vellum with Black Dimensionals. I added the sentiments BEFORE sticking the die cut to the card front, adding some Tear ‘n Tape behind the sentiments to adhere the die cut to the card front. A few spots of Multi Purpose Liquid Adhesive behind some of the more delicate stems gave the die cut the final support it needed. The spots of adhesive are invisible behind the shimmer vellum, one of the great benefits of this new vellum.
The finishing touch was to add some Early Espresso ink splats to the inside of the card. I love a good splatter stamp, and the one in this stamp set is fantastic, it looks like you have dropped the ink from quite a height.
I hope you enjoyed my project and may add the Suite, or at least the Bundle, to your Shopping List. If you have purchased from me in the past twelve months, you will be receiving your copy of the new Mini and Sale-a-Bration catalogues in the next couple of weeks, plus a few extra goodies from me, so keep your eyes on your letter box!
Now, why not follow along the Blog Hop by selecting the next person on the list. If you like what you see along the way, why not leave a comment to let them know, you can’t image the impact a kind word can have on someone who is pushing themselves a little outside their comfort zone, as many on the hop are. The list of products I have used (that are not in the new catalogue!) are below the list of Hop Participants. To gegt your hands on the NEW products, you can always add them to a Starter Kit, contact me for details. I have also added the list of reduced Designer Series Papers, as a reminder that these are 15% off until the end of 2nd August.
