Flowers of Friendship for Kylie’s International Blog Highlights June 2021. ‘What is she thinking, posting so late at night?’ I hear you say. Well, after not taking part for a while, I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights today.
The idea is that we each share an image of a Thank You project that we have made on Kylie’s Blog Post and YOU get to vote for your favourite FIVE projects. The TEN projects with the highest number of votes are then invited to a Blog Hop with Kylie. This is a ‘money can’t buy’ prize!! For how to help me win one of those invitations, PLEASE READ ON!
To visit Kylie’s Blog and cast your votes (hopefully for me and 3 others!!) simply click on the image below. My project is number 28, just saying!
I was in a definite ‘Vellum’ mood when I made this card, using it for the stitched/die cut background, and also the flowers and leaves. The flowers and leaves are the Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum, which is STUNNING!
This is my project, it is actually quite a simple project, if time consuming. The background is a piece of our ‘standard’ Vellum that has been run through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss with the Stitched Greenery Die. This is a hidden gem in the new Annual Catalogue and appears on page 83.
I used White Stampin’ Emboss Powder for both the flowers, on Pale Papaya Vellum, and leaves, on Soft Succulent Vellum. By adding a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon to the Vellum Background, I gave myself somewhere to hide adhesive. By adding the flowers and leaves with Mini Glue Dots, I gave myself more areas to hide adhesive. I added Mini Glue Dots to the top right of the background too, before adhering the vellum to the Soft Succulent card base.
To hide the adhesive in the top right corner, and to add some extra ‘bling’ I added some of the Genial Gems. These are STUNNING too. The are in Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron, but work perfectly on Soft Succulent too. The heat embossed sentiment (fussy cut, of course!) also hides adhesive.
In case you missed it before, this is the link to get inspired by all the projects in this months share. If you would be kind and vote for me, I would be very grateful.
