Two VERY different looks with the Wrapped Bouquet Bundle. I am really sad to see this stamp set is not going to be in the new Annual Catalogue, but it is not going just yet. Because the January – June Mini Catalogue runs until the start of June, we have more than a month to enjoy this set.
Today I am bringing you two VERY different cards. One is bold and monochrome, the other embraces a more subtle, pastel feel. They both use Stampin’ Blends to add the colour and they both have trim on them. Just by changing a few basics you really can make very different projects. The first uses just Basic Black and Magenta Madness for a really dramatic look.
The image is stamped in Tuxedo Black and then coloured with Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends. Layered on two rectangles from Stitched So Sweetly dies and then popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, this is a surprisingly quick card to put together. I added the ‘For You’ stamp using White Stampin Emboss on a tiny tag of Magenta Madness.
The finishing touches were to add some White Baker’s Twine and some Magenta Madness Enamel Dots. To make sure the twine kept that lovely shape (which was accidental), I added dots of Multi Purpose Liquid Adhesive in a couple of places on each side, then added a block over the top to keep the twine in place while the adhesive dried.
My next card is as quick to assemble as the first, but this time I used some of the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper on a So Saffron Card Base. The floral image is stamped in Pear Pizzazz and coloured with So Saffron, Petal Pink and Purple Posy Stampin Blends. The Newspaper Wrap is made by stamping the image in Tuxedo Black before die-cutting it and stamping the reverse side with the same Newspaper image. Simply fold along the score lines and add some adhesive and Dimensionals.
Before adding the patterned paper, I wrapped it with some of the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon, before adding the wrap over the top with more liquid adhesive. To get some dimension, I added the floral piece to the inside of the wrap with liquid adhesive, but added a couple of Dimensionals to the top. There are a few stand alone foliage dies in the set, which I cut from Pear Pizzazz and added behind the floral image, again I used liquid adhesive. The
So as promised, two very different cards from the same bundle, simply by changing the supplies. This is one of the joys of stamping, no matter how many people own a stamp set, they can make very different projects simply by using different supplies from their existing stash. It is not always about getting the new products, although I do love getting new products and LOVE that I get a discount by being a Demonstrator.
