Blossoms in Bloom Bundle – Two VERY Different Cards. Thank you for joining me this morning. I must first let you know that I had TOTALLY forgotten that I am attending a Stampin’ Up! Virtual Event this morning, which means that I will NOT be going LIVE on YouTube at 10am. There are a lot of things I can do, but being in two places at once, is not one that I have mastered yet. The event I will be attending means I will be able to see projects made with NEW products from the Annual Catalogue that will be going LIVE in May. I have already ordered items from that catalogue, which should arrive next week, because Demonstrators are able to order at least a MONTH in advance. If you want to get your hands on mew products, and get a DISCOUNT, please contact me for more details.
Today I am sharing some of the cards I made on my semi holiday. I had decided that I would only craft for me for a couple of weeks, and that I would ‘play’ with some new techniques. I did spend a LOT of time on Pinterest, as ever, much longer than I had intended. The inspiration that you can find there is amazing. Some of the cards I made are the result of this, if they are inspired by projects that you have made, or Pinned, please forgive me that I have not given credit, I was so caught up in following each path, that I often forgot to take note of who was the originator of some of the ideas.
This first card uses Vellum for the card base. The Stampin’ Up! Vellum is really strong, so is perfect to use as a card base, not something that can be said of all vellums. I die cut the large outline die in Silver Foil (if you like the Silver Foil GET IT NOW BEFORE IT IS GONE!) having added the Adhesive Sheet to the back first, making sticking it to the vellum as easy as a sticker!! Stamping the large image in Seaside Spray GET IT BEFORE IT IS GONE!) on a quarter sheet of White Card, I laid this inside the card base so I could add the die cut before then trimming the the White Card to size. Adding the sentiment, heat embossed in silver on Basic Black, with Black Dimensionals was the final touch to the outside of the card.
My second card uses a very similar layout, but with a totally different result. This time I added some Versamark ink to the back of the die, using it as a stamp. You do need to press firmly, and I find it works best if you have the die on a firm surface and lay the card on top, rubbing it firmly to transfer the ink. Sprinkle Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder over the card before heating the image. You get this amazing result.
I used the same sentiment, but this time Magenta Madness and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. And of course adding the Black card to a Magenta Madness Card Base gives the perfect ‘pop’, enhanced by adding a few Magenta Madness Enamel Dots (GET THESE WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!)
