Cards in the Mail to Me – Sympathy Part 2. Last week I shared some of the handmade cards that I have received since my Father passed away earlier this month. Since then I have received a few more, and would love to share these with you too. I am sharing these with you in no particular order.
This first card was sent to me by two of my wonderful Team of Sunflowers. Wendy and Kate March are a mother and daughter Team and are some of the kindest people you could wish to meet. They are both based in Wales and can be found at Wendy’s Website Mamgu’s Attic HERE. They have used one of last year’s Sale-a-Bration stamp sets combined with the Oh So Ombre paper from this year’s Sale-a-Bration.
The next card is from former Team Member, Mary Oakey. Mary was the first person to join my Team with whom I had not had any previous contact. I remember asking her why she chose to join my Team and her reply was ‘because you make me smile’. This card has made me smile. I love that it has a simple elegance to it thanks to the single colour. There is actually a lot going on, which could have been distracting if it had not been monochrome. I loved having Mary on my Team and hope to welcome her back one day, when it is right for her.
This is such a clever mix of Designer Series Papers. The Gray Granite of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper is the perfect foil for the Fine Art Floral paper. Margaret McFadyen (AKA the Tartan Stamper) is based up in Scotland and is so talented. She clearly knows that I LOVE the Elegant Faceted Gems, so selected those for this card (they are in the new Annual Catalogue!)
The last card to share with you today is from fellow Pinkie, Helen Speakman. I think I mentioned when I shared the Get Well card she sent to me, that we got to know each other when we were at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event in Dortmund a couple of years ago (I think it was the last in person event we were able to hold!) Helen runs her business from the top of her house, so calls it The Roof Top Crafter.
I am so touched that so many people have sent cards to help me through this challenging time. I really can’t explain just how blessed I am to have found such an amazing group of caring people. All through sharing our love of playing with Stamps, Ink and Paper!
