Arrange A Wreath Bundle on Facebook Live (Replay). Did you catch me on my Facebook Live yesterday? If not you are in for a treat. My first Valentine’s card of the year, using items (mostly) from the Annual Catalogue. In the UK we don’t ‘do’ Valentine’s that much, so using items from the Annual is often the best way to go.
I wanted to use some red vellum, which of course we don’t actually have. But when did that stop me! I got out my white Vellum and my Red Blends and tried each of them until I found one that was a match to Real Red on Vellum. You may be thinking that would be one of the Real Red Blends, but vellum can do strange things to ink. I ended up using the Dark Cherry Cobbler. You will see the comparison in the video.
I die cut some of the small hearts and the bow in my red vellum, as well as the LOVE Heart and the bow in Real Red card (actually from the centre of the Real Red Mat!). I also die cut 2 of the same wreath in white vellum and layered them so one had the backside up and the other was the right way up. The set comes with a double heart stamp, which I used in Real Red on Very Vanilla and then die cut those too.
The Scripty embossed layer is the new Pearlescent Specialty Paper from the January to June Mini Catalogue. It was this paper that decided that this would be a Very Vanilla, rather than White project. Again, in my video I show the paper against both White and Vanilla card. I should add that it embosses beautifully, with the sheen making the pattern more obvious. Although the project is made in Vanilla, the White Vellum works well and does not ‘fight’ with the Very Vanilla.
On the inside I stamped a row of the hearts across the bottom, again using Real Red ink, this is the perfect touch for this inside of the card. I did add a sentiment too, but I wanted something else, that made it that little bit more special. A few Resin Heart Embellishments add the final touch to the front of the card.
