Snailed It Without a Snail in Sight! I was back in my Craft Studio again today, but only for a short while. Many of you may know that I like to craft standing up, but the problem with that comes when you are not feeling very well. I do have a stool that I can lean against, but basically, if I want to craft, I have to feel well enough to stand. Not perfect when you are fighting the (hopefully) backend of Covid. But I managed a short while and want to share my make with you today.
I wanted to use the Snailed It Bundle without using a Snail, so used the cluster of Toadstools and the large postage stamp Die. It is a simple enough design, just three of the patterned papers, die cut in squares, layered up and used to highlight the toadstools. I wanted ‘something’ in the background, so used the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and some Blushing Bride Ink added with a Blending Brush.
I added everything at a bit of an angle, just for fun. Somehow, I even managed to allow myself to be led by the colours in the Designer Series Paper, by using a Daffodil Delight card base. I would NEVER have thought of Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight together, but I was brave, and they do work.
To soften the finished card a little, I added some of the Blushing Bride Twine behind the Toadstools, I think it also helps to tie everything together. Blushing Bride is definitely the colour that appears in most of the elements. The only place it does not appear is in the colouring (probably because there are no Blushing Bride Blends!).
