#SimpleStamping Saturday with Heal Your Heart Stamps and Flower and Field Paper. Sorry today’s post is later than usual, life just got in the way! I am playing with 2 Sale-a-Bration items today, both Level 1 items, so you can choose either with an order of at least £45, or both if our order is at least £90. All the cards are similar, and not difficult. The main differences are how I dealt with the sentiment.
Quick and Easy Version
My first version uses a Note Card and is simply made by covering the front with patterned paper. I just used some Stampin’ Seal to adhere it and then trimmed it to fit (full directions in the Video). The Sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight on White card and then trimmed to size. I did add some paper to the envelope flap too, for added decoration.
Stepped Up Version
For my first stepped up version I introduced coloured card stock, the Story Label Punch and some ribbon. The paper was cut to size (dimensions at the bottom of this post) and adhered to the Shaded Spruce Card layer, before adding a piece of Misty Moonlight Ribbon. The Sentiment is stamped as before, but this time I punched it out. To get the Shaded Spruce mat behind the sentiment I punched the label from card and cut it in the middle, separating the pieces by about 1/4″ (6mm) and adhering them to the back of the White sentiment. This is then added with Dimensionals.
Second Stepped Up Version
This is exactly the same again, but this time I introduced the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Because the Dies are quite wide, I didn’t add the ribbon, as this could have been ‘overkill’.
So, which is your favourite? are you in need of the swift makes that are the first version, or do you want something a little more involved with more products? Whichever you choose, the recipient is bound to love the card. During these strange times sending a handmade card is like sending a virtual hug. Indeed I remember being told, many years ago, that a handmade card is a hug with a fold in the middle!
