#SimpleStamping Saturday with Approaching Perfection and InColors. I really enjoy coming up with ideas for my #SimpleStamping Saturdays, but this week I did struggle a little. Generally I start with the Quick version and then make the most stepped up version. Not this week. This week I decided to make the middle version before the most stepped up one. Big mistake, but I hope you agree that it came together OK in the end!
As ever, I started with a Notecard and envelope, this time in White. I wanted to have a pop of colour, so decided to use the 2020-2022 InColors. Magenta Madness is such a wonderfully bright colour!
I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to selectively ink up the main 2 stamps I was using. You need to be careful to use the side of the brush end of the Marker. A quick ‘huff’ on the stamp just before you use it, to make sure the ink will transfer. Hold the stamp in place for a wee while, just to make sure. A quick balloon stamped on the envelope and coloured finished the project off.
Stepped Up Version
As I mentioned, this was the next card I made for today’s projects. I had great fun inking up the stamps in different colours, but with Magenta Madness for the ‘News Flash’. To make the stamping really easy, I deliberately stamped at angles.
The candles are Heat Embossed in Gold. I added the White mat to a piece of Coastal Cabana Card. Originally I had assumed that Just Jade would have been a better idea, but it jarred a little, Coastal Cabana just works. I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and added Dimensionals to the Coastal Cabana before adhering it to the Magenta Madness Card Base. A few coloured balloons on the inside finished the card nicely.
Stepped Up Again Version
This was the version I struggled with. But then I remembered that the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper has Coastal Cabana in it. I grabbed a sheet and knew the mottled finish would be perfect for the card.
The rest of the card is basically the same as for the previous version. The main difference is the punch out pieces. Take a look at the Video for how I did this. It is another of my ‘outside the box uses for pinches.
Again, you can see the detail in this photo. I changed the Dimensionals to behind the punched pieces.
I hope you enjoyed looking at these cards today. You can find the measurements and the link to the YouTube video a little further down the post. Please remember to Subscribe to my Newsletter and YouTube Channel before you leave. Have a great day!
