Facebook Live Replay – Forever and Always – Same Card 2 Ways. Yesterday I decided to make two cards using almost all of the same products. I have certainly used the same sheet of Designer Series Paper on both cards. Although the sentiments are the same, I did use very slightly different products. But enough chit chat, let’s see the cards!
This was the first of the cards I made, using Rococo Rose card, foil (from the Love You Always Foils), ink, Stampin’ Blends and ribbon. I coloured a few of the flowers, including, deliberately, a couple that went off the piece of paper. Doing this really helps the finished look of the card. If you only colour flowers inside the edge, it can look a little odd.
Using Adhesive Sheets on the back of the foil is a really easy way of making it so easy to handle the fine die cuts. The finishing touch for this card was to add a narrow strip of the Designer Series Paper towards the bottom of the inside of the card.
My second card uses the reverse of the same Designer Series Paper. It is one of the brilliant things about this paper that it has florals on one side and stripes, geometric and dot patterns, perfect for all types of card and all types of people. For this card I switched a lot of the Rococo Rose for silver or black. As you will see, it changes the card substantially and takes it from a pretty pink card to a more subdued monochromatic card.
So that the card did not end up too sombre, I have added some clusters of Basic Rhinestones. This can make such a difference to the final look of the card, but is such a simple addition. Again, I added a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card. These little additions really can make such a difference. I hope you enjoy watching the video of me making the cards, it is a little shorter than some of my Facebook Lives. If you want to skip passed the chatter at the start, remember that YouTube allows you to do that! If you enjoy what you see, please consider Subscribing to my YouTube Channel and Liking the video, it really makes a difference.
