Facebook Live 5th January 2021 Replay with Snail Mail Papers. Let me admit here and now that I am in love with this suite of products. They are just so cute and really fun. During my Facebook Live I wanted to show that you can make really great cards from this paper without the need to buy the stamps or dies. Well my confession is that I have now ordered the Stamp and Die Bundle!! I know, I have no self control, but the images are SOOOOOO Cute and having the stamps and dies means that I can have lots, and lots of them. Oh, and they are almost the amount I need for a Sale-a-Bration item.
The Facebook Live was also the first time I have used our new Blending Brushes. I have ordered a few more so I can have dedicated brushes for different colours. If you watch the video, I think you will agree that they do their job extraordinarily well. For my first card I added some Coastal Cabana Ink at the top and bottom of the White card.
All of the images are fussy cut from the papers and simply layered up. Having the ‘Hello’ speech bubbles in various languages also means that there is no need to stamp a sentiment. The bubbles also go in both directions, so you can choose which works best for you! LOVE IT!!!!
During the Facebook Live (watch the replay below) I spent some time talking about Rules of Perspective and how to make sure that things don’t look ‘odd’. Basically, the further away something is meant to be, the higher up the page it should be. This is particularly useful to understand when you are, as I was, using part images and want to cover up the straight edge. I the image above the yellow toadstool and the half large toadstool both have straight edges that needed to be covered up. I simply layered them so they were higher up the page and then covered the cut edge.
The second card has an area of Blushing Bride Ink Blending towards the top of the White mat. This is then covered with the Lovely Label Punched piece, which I added simply so there was a focal point. As with the first card, there are fussy cut pieces that were on the edge of the paper, but this time I simply added them at the bottom of the white mat.
To finish this card I added some Resin Hearts, which are part of the Suite. They come in Real Red and White, and the White ones can be coloured with Blends. You may need to layer the ink up and let it dry well between coats, but they definitely take the colour.
I hope you will agree that the finished results are 2 really cute and summery cards, perfect to send to anyone who needs their day brightening. These cards will, however, go to one of my lucky followers. All you need to do to be in with a chance to win is to Share either the Facebook or YouTube version of the recording and leave a comment that says SHARED, just make sure you do so by the end of Sunday 10th January. I will then pull the lucky winner next week and get them off to you. This is open to anyone, anywhere in the world!!!
