Arrange a Wreath – Facebook Live Replay. It is confession time. I ordered the Arrange a Wreath Bundle before Christmas, but not used it! I am not sure why I didn’t use it in the lead up to Christmas, but I know why I haven’t used it since. Stupidly, I put it with my Christmas sets, and forgot it is in the Annual Catalogue. So yesterday’s Facebook Live was its premier!
If you saw my card yesterday, you will have noticed that it was a Clean and Simple card, mostly white on white, with just a little Early Espresso. Today I am in a similar mood, with more white on white, but this time with Soft Sea Foam and So Saffron accents. Still in the Clean and Simple space though
My first card combines a few stamped and die cut elements, with a few that are simply die cut. The are all layered onto a piece of White Card that has been embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing folder. This breaks up the stark look of the White by adding just a hint of texture.
A few of the elements are stuck straight onto the white layer, with a few popped up on Dimensionals. Because I have a ‘thing’ about holes in the middle of die cuts that aren’t over something specific, I decided to camouflage the holes with a bow made from a double layer of Crinkled Seam Binding. It was just the touch I was looking for.
The sentiment, which is also from the stamp set, is So Saffron matted on So Saffron, with just a very fine line between the two. The finishing touch was to add some Basic Pearls that I had coloured with the Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blend.
For my second card, I switched out the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder for the Subtle one. This also just helps to break up the background. I used the other wreath die for this card, but still in Soft Sea Foam. I decided that ALL the elements would be in Soft Sea Foam for this card.
Again, I die cut some stamped images and some that were simply die cut. There are only 3 elements in this cluster, plus the double loo bow, still using the Crinkled Ribbon, but this time having been dyed with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend.
The sentiment is the same idea again, but this time rather than Pearls, I added some of the new Opal Rounds from the new Mini Catalogue. These are perfect for a subtle little addition and finished up my card nicely. Both cards are on a Thick White card base.
