#SimpleStamping Saturday – Tree Angle. Did you see my post yesterday? Well I had to come to this post and edit it to let you know that we have been having a BLAST at OnStage@Home. I have even seen the new January to June Mini Catalogue and have the option to order some of the new products already! I am not going to give you any clues, other than to say it is AMAZING. All Demonstrators will be able to order from the new Catalogue from the start of December, so if you have ever thought of joining, this would be a great time to do so!
Back to #SimpleStamping Saturday and three really stunning and quick cards. The #SimpleStamping version is really quick, but I LOVE it! This week I am using Very Vanilla as my base colour for all my cards.
Quick and Simple
My first card is simplicity itself. Just one ink colour and one gem, because it is Christmas and your friends and family are worth it!
I love the simplicity of this card, and don’t even get me started on the envelope! This was so easy to do, but I love it! Just imagine getting an envelope like this, I know it would be the first one I opened if I received it. How about you?
Step it Up!
My first Stepped Up version of this card is exactly the same layout as the Quick and Simple version. All I have done, other than make the card larger, is add Early Espresso as the ‘foil’ for some Gold Heat Embossing. That is seriously the only change I have made, everything else is the same as the first version.
I think you will agree, that this slight change is a bit of a game changer! It takes an already great card to the next level and beyond. Can you imagine what your friends would think if they received this. Heat embossing is such a simple technique, but so effective.
I love the shine that heat embossing gives to a card, and of course, I could watch that powder melt time and time again, but never get bored!
Let’s Step it Up AGAIN!
I think I have saved the best to last. This version needs a few additional products, but if you have a special someone to send this card to, it really is worth the extra time (not that it took much extra time).
I have replaced the Early Espresso mat with a Brushed Metallic one, in the mid tone. The trees and sentiment are the same Gold Heat Embossing on Early Espresso. I have made 3 trees and die cut the triangle elements using the Stitched Triangle Dies from the Annual Catalogue. The Sentiment felt wrong in the bottom corner, so I pulled it up to the top left and simply trimmed the card so it had an angle, which takes some of the ‘weight’ out of it.
The trunks are simply small pieces of Early Espresso cut to size. In fact the only part of this card that is a little tricky is taking the photos without too much glare!
