Facebook Live Replay – 3rd November 2020 – Perfect Plaid. So, this week saw a few changes to my Facebook Live event, with the introduction of getting the card packs sent to you FREE (UK only) if you place an order using the Facebook Live HOST CODE. This is not the same as my usual Host Code, which qualifies you for a FREE product gift, this is specifically for the card kits for this week’s cards. More about how this will work later.
This week the cards are using the Perfect Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree Punch. These are perfect for so many styles of card, and I hope to show that to you today. I will not go into too many details of how to make the cards as they were all made during my Facebook Live yesterday and you can watch the step by step tutorials simply by clicking the video link below. Remember to SUBSCRIBE to make sure that you can see the list of my videos, hit the alert bell to be advised when I load a new video. SUBSCRIBING also helps me to bring more videos, as YouTube promotes videos that have larger subscriber numbers, more interaction and comments, so ‘Like’ and leave a comment too, it is free to do so!
The first card was inspired by a card that Martin Stone, one of the Artisan Designers, made last year. I have changed it quite a bit, but I am always happy to shout out to the original designer. The card base has been embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder, this takes what could be a plain card to a higher level.
The second card uses the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder takes this card to another level too. I love that simply adding a little texture can make such a difference to a card. The paper is the Plaid Tidings pack, which has so many plaid (or tartan for the Scots among you!) designs that you could make lots of these cards and they would all be different, simply changing the pattern.
The third card also uses patterned paper, this time the Heartwarming Hugs pack. I have used a piece for the first layer, but punched three trees out of it (if you use the Facebook Live Host Code your paper will have trees punched from it!). The Whisper White mat is a little smaller than usual so the patterned paper layer has more ‘real estate’. A simple sentiment on a strip of card, plus some Red Rhinestones, finish the card off nicely.
My final card is not at all traditional. I have punched a rainbow of trees from some of the Brights Family of colours. I wanted the sentiment to reflect the bright colours, so pulled one from the Joyful Holly Stamp Set. Why not have some fun with your Christmas makes?
How to get the FREE Card Packs
This is a new option I am offering and gives my UK Customers the choice of either choosing to receive a FREE Product Gift OR the Card Kits FREE. The FREE Product Gift option has not changed, you simply place your order using the standard Monthly Host Code that is displayed in the side bar of my Blog, and in all my non Facebook Live posts. BUT if you would like to receive the Card Kits for the cards I have made this week, simply use the FACEBOOK LIVE HOST CODE. For November, this code is:
JQEJ63AV
Use this code to place an order of at least £25 between now and next Monday to get this week’s card kits. Place an order after next week’s Facebook Live to get that week’s card kits etc. This will be a great discipline for me as it means I actually have to PLAN what I am doing each week! How scary is that?
