Quite Curvy for The Spot Challenge #132. Where is the time going these days? I still have some memories of the warm days of summer, but looking out of our windows, all I can see at the moment is rain, and rather too much of that. Over the weekend we had some quite reasonable weather with sunshine picking up the wonderful Autumn Colours, so today’s The Spot Challenge seems perfectly timed.
I received the new Quite Curvy Bundle last week. This is actually more like a Suite, with 2 stamp sets, dies and Designer Series Paper and, as one of our Perks, Demonstrators can order any of it now. It will be available to Customers on 3rd November, but of course if you can’t wait that long, remember you can add any of the items to the Crafting Stater Kit. If you are in the UK, France, Germany, Austria or the Netherlands, you would be very welcome to join my Team. We had 4 new members last month, so you would be in good company. But back to the project.
When I saw the swag of leaves in the Quite Curvy stamp set I knew I wanted to use it for this week’s The Spot project. Initially I was only going to add one swag and the sentiment, but I then wondered if it would work with the Stamparatus Hinge Technique. It does!! So, on the basis of ‘More is More’ I have used the swag four times, stamping with Early Espresso Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card, as well as adding the sentiment ‘you’re one in a MILLION’ using Cherry Cobbler.
I originally intended to use the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends for some of my colouring, but I liked the look of the Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody so much, that I sort of forgot. I really enjoyed colouring the leaves, they were so easy to colour and it was really relaxing. When I finished the colouring I decided that something was missing and knew I needed to add some kind of embellishment. I tried out a few before settling on the Artistry Blooms Sequins. These come in Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody and Rich Razzleberry. I used the Mango Melody and Calypso Coral, dotted across the card. Because they are transparent, you can use many more than our opaque embellishments, so they are perfect for adding a little sparkle.
So, no it is your turn to make a Clean and Simple Fall/Autumn card and add it to The Spot Challenge page. Just remember you need to add it before the end of next Saturday (well you do have a little longer, but with time differences, who knows!!) The link to The Spot Challenge is embedded in the Challenge Header at the top of the page. Good luck!!
