Playful Pets Treat Bag for #SimpleStamping Saturday. And suddenly it is the Weekend again and for me a really busy day! I am thrilled that I am holding my first Virtual Team Retreat. It has been a lot of work to bring together, but I know it is going to be worth it, and that we are going to have a great time. I have Team members joining from Germany, Scotland and Wales, as well as across England. I have a full day planned for them. They have all received their Goody Bag, and I think a few have even managed to not open them yet – what self control!
But first, let’s take a look at a slightly difference #SimpleStamping Saturday project; a little Treat Bag.
Quick and Simple
My first project uses a simple 6 x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper. There is no measuring needed and they actually hold a surprising number of Heroes Chocolates. If you can fold a piece of paper straight, you can make these Treat Bags. If you are allowed to have Trick or Treat events thins year where you live, these Treat Bags would be perfect. Just use the Magic in This Night Paper instead of the Playful Pets I have chosen to use here. Both of the papers are included in the Designer Series Paper promotion we have until the end of this month. 15% off is an amazing saving, so why not stock up!
Stepped Up
My Quick and Simple Treat Bag does not involve any stamping at all, it is simply the construction of the bag that I have included in that version. For the more stepped up version, I have added some simple stamping, colouring and punching.
As a bit of fun, I also hand cut some zig-zags at the cut ends of the bags. A really simple technique, but great fun.
Stepped Up Again
For my final version I have added more stamping, but this time using the matching dies too. This dog looks such fun, I can imagine summer days in the garden chasing a favourite ball. I have kept the colouring simple again, these images don’t need anything complicated. The second from largest of the Oval Stitched Shapes is the perfect size for this happy chap.
I added some of the narrow Real Red Ribbon from the matching Trim Combo pack, and included one of the Trinkets on the bow for a bit of extra fun. You can just see in the first picture of this project, that I also die cut the ends of the package, using the edge die from the Peony Dies. I have not included these in the list of products; any edge die would be just as effective.
To see how to make the first version, why not take a look at the Video Tutorial. While you are there, why not subscribe to my YouTube Channel and make sure to hit the Notification Bell as well, so you don’t miss any of my video tutorials.
