Facebook Live Replay – 27th October 2020 – In the Pines Bundle (ish). What a fun event it was yesterday. I had actually planned what I was going to make, so that certainly helped. In fact I over planned, so had some items left over for more cards (come back later in the week!). Now, let’s get this out of the way up front. the supply list for today is not short, but I wanted to show you a wide variety of cards all made with the In The Pines Bundle. And why have I called this post In The Pines Bundle (ish)? Because I actually only used one of the stamps.
Feels Like Frost
My first card uses the Feels Like Frost Paper carried over from last year. There are a couple of designs that are crying out to be used with In The Pines, but this is just one of them. So quick to put together, especially if you put the paper on the right way round first time! Just 3 die cut trees and a Pretty Peacock strip for a sentiment.
So quick to put together once you have die cut the trees. I can see myself spending some time die cutting, watching a movie maybe, and then simply putting all the cards together. Think conveyor belt crafting!
Red & Green Foil
Next up a totally different looking card. This one is bold and bright, but very simple to put together.
I added Adhesive Sheet to the reverse of the Green Foil, so adding it on top of the Red Foil was really easy. Then simply added to the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes. A card front from The Most Wonderful Time Refill Pack and the card is pretty much done.
I have looked at both the Red and Green of the Foils to decide which of our colours they are nearest to, and I think Real Red and Shaded Spruce are the best match. But, I am not sure I would put them immediately next to any of our reds or greens.
White on White
There is something really classy about a white on white card, and I hope you agree that this one fits the bill. Starting with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing folder, then some Thick Whisper White die cuts. The narrow trees are a single layer each, but the large on is 3 layers deep.
A strip of Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon and some Adhesive Backed Snowflakes finish the look off. Yes, I think this hits the ‘Classy’ list, even if I should not say it!!
Just Change the Colours
This next card is pretty similar to the last one, just in different colours. This time we have gone Sepia.
Early Espresso takes the place of the Whisper White for the embossing and card base. The trees, all of them the larger size, are die cut from the Brushed Metallic Foils. Add the Copper Ribbon and you have a stunning card, so different from the White on White version.
Most Wonderful Time and Festive Felt
My final card for the day uses some of the Most Wonderful Time Paper and Festive Felt, die cut with the snow banks from the die set.
Adding the Felt gives a different texture, which can be a nice change. Just 2 of the narrow trees, die cut in Gold Foil, and some Gold Twine finish the card off. adding it to the Real Red card base lifts the whole design.
Facebook Live Replay
Now, just a couple of points before you go and watch the replay. First it is quite long, but I hope you enjoy it all. Secondly, I had a comment after last week’s replay asking if I could bring the camera closer to my crafting surface. Sadly, at the moment I am not able to do much about that. I am working on it, but with the webcam I use, there is no option to zoom in. Soon I am hoping to have sorted out some extra software to allow this to happen, but at the moment it is not playing ball.
The other comment I had was with regard to the quality of the video. It is not HD quality and, again, I have tried to address this, but it is the highest quality I have been able to download it from Facebook. All I can suggest is watching it on a smaller screen, where the quality is not such an issue. So, with all that in mind, I would urge you to have a look and see what you think.
