#SimpleStamping Saturday – Happy Haunting with Banner Year Bundle. Have you started to think about your Halloween Cards yet? May be you are not a great one for these, but what about your children or grand children? Do they like to give their school friends a cute Halloween card? Whether Halloween is your ‘thing’ or not, I urge you to look at the Banner Year Stamp set and especially the Bundle. The Bundle includes the Banners Pick a Punch punch (two punches in a row? Really Liz?). This is a fantastic Punch, so please do take a look. The stamp set covers LOTS of occasions, so is also worth a look.
Quick and Simple
This certainly ticks the cute box for me. Just two ink pads and some really cute, smiling bats. No one could be scared of these little chaps. Add a few spiders’ webs and you really can make this project in moments. Add some stamping to the envelope and the inside of the card for a really coordinated look.
Although the picture does not make this totally clear, the bats are stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black and the rest of the stamping is in Blackberry Bliss. Blackberry Bliss is a wonderful, really dark purple, great for 2nd and 3rd generation stamping. Today I only used full strength and 2nd generation to get more texture into the project.
Stepped Up Version
My first stepped up version adds coloured card, the stunning Music of This Night Designer Series Paper and some heat embossing. I really do think the paper is stunning, and seriously not just for Halloween. Stampin’ Up! is so clever with this, making sure that you can get the most out of your papers.
These smiling bats are great in silver heat embossing and very easy to fussy cut and then pop up on some Black Dimensionals.
Further Stepped Up Version
I really enjoyed making this version. I embossed the Blackberry Bliss card with the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder and then added 3 pieces of Mesh Ribbon for added cobwebs! The bats are from the Designer Series Paper and really easy to fussy cut.
Take a look at the AMAZING Iridescent Pearls. Aren’t they stunning? I seriously had not realised just how amazing they are until I used them on my Customer Gifts for my August Shoppers. Well worth a look.
