#SimpleStamping Saturday – Lots to Celebrate and Gilded Autumn. I can’t believe it is already Saturday. Where did the week go? We have a great weekend planned. After nearly 6 months of separation, my Father is coming to stay with us for a long weekend. In the UK, even those who, like my Father, have been shielding, are finally permitted to mix with others and, what is even more exciting for us, as he lives on his own, we can ‘bubble’ with him, which means we won’t have to socially distance! This is going to be AMAZING! It comes with extra responsibility because, obviously, my husband and I need to be even more careful so we don’t pass this dreadful disease on to my Father.
Although I can’t begin to think about Autumn yet, my projects do embrace it – sorry! My original version for the quick and simple card used a Whisper White Note Card and envelope. I don’t know what I was thinking, it should have been Very Vanilla, so that is what I have used in my Video Tutorial Today.
My #Simplestamping project today uses the Lots to Celebrate stamp set from the new August to December Mini Catalogue. This set covers so many occasions and, as it also coordinates with the Jar Punch has endless possibilities. Having stamped the jar with Tuxedo Black, I used Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the individual leaves in Autumnal colours and added as many as I could so my jar was definitely full.
First Stepped Up Version
My first stepped up version introduces the Gilded Autumn Suite, specifically the Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used coloured Cardstock for the base and first layer, picking colours from the Paper. The jar is still full of wonderful leaves, but this time they are heat embossed with Gold powder and with the addition of a gold lid. I punched the jar out, using the Jar Punch, and, after adding some Linen Thread to the main layer, popped the jar up on Dimensionals.
Second Stepped Up Version
My final version adds one of those really cute Mason Jar Domes from the Annual Catalogue. I coloured some of the gold foiled leaves in the Paper with the same Stampin’ Write Markers I used on the #simplestamping version. Most were punched out using the cute punches from the Beautiful Autumn Bundle, the others were fussy cut. I used some of the thread from the Greenery Ribbon and Twine Combo to wrap around the top of the jar. I made holes either side of the jar dome with my Take you Pick tool, really easy, just don’t stab yourself! Other than adding the sentiment, that was pretty much the card made. I hope you like all og them.
