#SimpleStamping Saturday with Zany Zebras. Can I just start by saying how much I LOVE these little guys! They have the cutest expressions and are just such fun. I must credit fellow Demonstrator, Stephanie Flath, for the original card I found on Pinterest. Click on her name to see her website. Now, my cards on Saturdays are generally the same card 3 ways, Quick and Simple, more Casual and Avid. Today is no different.
Quick and Simple
If you have seen any of my #SimpleStamping Saturday projects before, you will know that my Quick and Simple projects are always made with one of our Notecards and Envelopes. This week is no exception, being made with a Whisper White one. The stamping is simple, just one of the Zany Zebras and a sentiment.
What is particularly great about the Zany Zebra stamp set, is that all the images and sentiments are sketchy. If this is your first time stamping, it won’t show if your stamping is not perfect. So, no pressure! I added a few stars around the Zebra and the sentiment, and coloured them with a Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker. Of course the envelope had to be stamped too. A Zebra on the front and ‘You party animal’ on the flap. Quick and Simple!
Casual
My Casual and Avid versions both use Thick Whisper White card for the bases, plus some Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. It is this layout that was inspired by a card I spotted on Pinterest from Stephanie Flath. Using just a couple of narrow strips of the Designer Series Paper makes it go further and is a great way to use up some scraps. Having adhered the Zebra to the Basic Black mat, I popped it up with Dimensionals.
Although I added stars round the Zebra’s head, I opted for some Magenta Madness Enamel Dots round the Sentiment.
Avid
My final card introduces Window Sheet in place of the gap between the two strips of Designer Series Paper. I have also used a couple of the label dies from the Hippo and Friends Dies. As with the previous version, I off set the white layer in both cases. To emphasise the window panel, I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card, reverting to stamped stars around it, coloured with the Magenta Madness Stampin’ Write, this pairs well with the ribbon under the Zebra. For one final touch, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Zebra.
What a fun set of projects. I do hope you enjoyed them. Why not take a look at today’s video, it is just over 10 minutes long. If you enjoy it, why not Subscribe, like and comment?
