Pretty In Pink and VERY Pink for One Stamp at a Time and More. Did you miss my usual post this morning? I stupidly forgot to mark it to go live, but I hope you have now seen my earlier post, if not, I would encourage you to take a look. It explains, I hope, how Bonus Days works and some options that you have during this promotion. But now back to my projects for One Stamp at a Time and More.
I couldn’t decide which Pink to choose, so I have cheated a little by making the same project in 2 different colourways, about as far apart from each other as you can get. Petal Pink is a soft, pretty pink. Magenta Madness on the other hand is, well what it is called, Madness! But what is great is that my simply changing the colour you can change the look of the whole project. I love that about paper crafts.
My first set of projects uses the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper as the inspiration, so I have used Petal Pink and Rococo Rose as my pinks. The card is very simple, letting the paper shine. All I added was a stamped and die cut sentiment, a little ribbon and some stamping to help ‘ground’ the sentiment. Oh, and of course some sequins!
The box is not too difficult to make, if you follow the instructions in today’s video and the measurements below. It holds a bottle of Hand Sanitiser from Bath and Body (there are similar sized bottles available in the UK). The sides drop down to expose the bottle of Sanitiser. Rather than simply decorate the sides and lid of the box, I decided to use a wrap with a Tag Top. Again this is very simple to do, It is basically just a strip of Designer Series Paper cut at 2 ” and then wrapped around the box and lid.
The second shade of pink I decided to use is Magenta Madness. As I said earlier, about as far away from Petal Pink as you can get! Using this colour meant that I needed to select a different Paper pack. I could have used Artistry Blooms as that has Magenta Madness in it, but I thought I would choose the Flowers for Every Season.
By choosing the Flowers for Every Season I had to think about how I was going to make the wrap. This really was not a difficult problem to solve, and I feel slightly condescending saying that I simply had the join at the bottom.
The ribbon for the second version is the InColor Ribbon in Magenta Madness. This is added in the same way as the previous version for the card. For the box I simply added the ribbon by pushing a loop through the holes in the tag ends and threading the ends through the loop. You will have spotted that the first version has the ribbon simply threaded through and then tied in place with the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo.
Now, why not watch the video Tutorial to see just how simple it is to make both projects. While you are there, I would be so grateful if could Subscribe, Like, Comment and Share, this makes such a difference to the number of people who get to see my videos in their YouTube feed.
Was that helpful? I do hope it was. Remember that you can always take a second look, pause or rewind the video to go over anything again.
